On 5 June 2025, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) during a luncheon hosted by the Deputy Permanent Secretary.

Both sides discussed the overall operations of ESCAP and other United Nations agencies based in Thailand. The Thai side reaffirmed its commitment—as a UN Member State and the host country of ESCAP—to supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the United Nations and ESCAP in the face of evolving global challenges. In addition, the Deputy Permanent Secretary also invited the Executive Secretary to visit the “Once Upon a Time” exhibition, in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the Ministry.
