On 15 October 2026, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with Ms. Tanja Pacifico, Chief of Mission, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand.

Both sides discussed humanitarian projects and the project on the promotion of positive narratives on migration by IOM and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, the two sides also exchanged views on the issue of online scams, about which IOM expressed its readiness to exchange information and share experiences with Thailand to address the issue in a sustainable manner.
