On 5 November 2026, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Saadia Altaf Qazi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Thailand, on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of duty.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary congratulated the Ambassador on her assumption of duty and reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to promoting bilateral and multilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, particularly as the two countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year. Both sides underscored the importance of further strengthening relations across all dimensions, including high-level visits, economic and cultural cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and development cooperation. They also discussed preparations for the Gandhara artifact exhibition to be held in Thailand in 2027.
