On 10 September 2025, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with Ms. Kyungsun Kim, Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Thailand, on the occasion of her completion of duty. Ms. June Kunugi, Regional Director of UNICEF East Asia and Pacific, and representatives from the Department of International Organizations were also in attendance.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary expressed his appreciation for Ms. Kim’s active role in promoting and protecting the rights of children and youth, as well as for her efforts in strengthening continued cooperation between UNICEF and Thailand throughout her tenure. He also visited the UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office and the UNICEF Thailand Country Office, which is a heritage building and sets good example on the use of renewable energy.
