On 21 April 2026, Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, attended a telephone conversation between H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, and H.E. Mr. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, on the occasion of the President congratulating the Prime Minister on his assumption of duty.

The Prime Minister expressed appreciation to the President and reaffirmed the long-standing relationship between Thailand and the Philippines. He reiterated Thailand’s readiness to fully support the Philippines in its ASEAN Chairmanship. Both sides also discussed bilateral cooperation and cooperation within the ASEAN framework to address the energy crisis arising from the situation in the Middle East, as well as cooperation on food security and combating transnational crime, particularly online scams.
