On 7 April 2026, Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Pham Viet Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Thailand.

Both sides discussed activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand - Viet Nam diplomatic relations this year, including the exchange of high-level visits, as well as ways to further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Thailand and Viet Nam. They also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East.
