European Affairs Department leads EU Delegation to Thailand representatives to visit the Anti-Online Scam Operation Center to enhance cooperation in combating online scams

On 17 February 2026, the Department of European Affairs led representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand to visit the Anti-Online Scam Operation Center (ACSC) of the Royal Thai Police. The visit was aimed to strengthen cooperation in the prevention and suppression of online scams and transnational cybercrime.

The delegation had a discussion with Major General Puttipong Musikul, Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau. They also toured the Center’s operational facilities, including its “war room,” which serves as the central hub for real-time monitoring, data analysis, and coordinated response. The ACSC presented its integrated “one-stop service” model, which consolidates law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and other relevant stakeholders within a single operational framework. This approach enables efficient case intake, financial tracking, prompt account suspension, asset freezing, and comprehensive victim assistance in a timely and coordinated manner.

Both sides exchanged views on emerging trends and evolving modus operandi of online criminal networks, as well as explored avenues for enhanced information-sharing, capacity-building and cross-border coordination. The discussions reflected the shared commitment of Thailand and the European Union to upholding the rule of law, strengthening digital security, and safeguarding the public from threats in the digital age.
