On 6 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a keynote lecture titled “International Relations and Security” to the 3rd class of the National Defence College for Future Leaders (NDCFL) for the academic year 2026 at the National Defence College Auditorium. Participants comprised government officials, representatives from independent public agencies, business leaders, and members of the public.

The Minister elaborated on the complex and volatile global landscape, characterised by the uncertain and unpredictable world order, multi-faceted security threats, the fragmented international landscape with weakening rules, as well as the decline of multilateralism. Against this backdrop, he emphasized that Thailand’s foreign policy remains agile by responding to urgent issues within the current global context while staying anchored to a clear, long-term strategic direction.

The Minister also engaged in an interactive Q&A session, covering various important issues such as the Thailand – Cambodia border situaion, the situation in Middle East, Thailand’s role within ASEAN, and strategies to enhance Thailand’s global standing.
