On 10 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Khamphan Anlavan, Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Thailand, on the occasion of the completion of his tenure.

The Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador for his significant contributions to advancing Thailand - Laos relations, which have continued to grow from strength to strength. He also commended Ambassador’s deep understanding of Thailand, which has been cultivated over his three postings in Thailand.

This year is the 75th Anniversary of Thailand-Laos Diplomatic Relations. The Foreign Minister reiterated the importance of the Lao PDR as a close neighbour and reaffirmed the Thai Government’s readiness and commitment to further strengthen cooperation with Lao PDR in all areas, based on the Strategic Partnership for Growth and Sustainable Development, for the benefit of the people of both countries.
