On 17 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received the newly appointed executive members of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association (TVFA) on the occasion of their first general meeting following their appointment for the term July 2025 - June 2028.

The Foreign Minister congratulated Mr. Sanan Angubolkul on his reappointment as President of the TVFA for a second term and the new executive members. He highlighted the important role of the TVFA in supporting the Ministry’s efforts to foster closer ties between the people of both countries. He also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the private sector to further advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) between Thailand and Vietnam.
