On 10 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a farewell call from H.E. Mr. Tumur Amarsanaa, Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand, upon the completion of the latter’s tour of duty.

Both sides welcomed the smooth and positive development of Thailand - Mongolia relations, increased people-to-people exchanges, and growing investment by the Thai private sector in Mongolia. They agreed to further promote cooperation in the areas of economic development, food security, agricultural products, and logistics, which will help enhance the value of bilateral trade and investment. Both sides discussed exchanges of high-level visits and the convening of the Third Consultative Body on Bilateral Cooperation between Thailand and Mongolia. They also expressed support for the early signing of relevant bilateral agreements between the two countries.

The Foreign Minister expressed appreciation to the Ambassador for his dedication and contribution in advancing bilateral cooperation throughout his tenure of almost six years. He also reaffirmed his readiness to work closely with the Ambassador’s successor to further advance cooperation and promote the shared interests of both countries.
