On 16 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, presided over the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winners of the “Le Pont d’Amitié” competition, held on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of Thai-French diplomatic relations, at Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel, Nonthaburi.

The Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs delivered congratulatory remarks to the winners and participants of the competition. Mr. Marc-Alexandre Panteris, representative of the French Embassy also attended the ceremony. The event featured three categories of competitions: Thai-French Relations Quiz Competition, French Spelling Bee Competition, and a French Speech Contest.

The competitions attracted considerable interest from students of 117 educational institutions across Thailand, with more than 850 participants taking part in the activities. The event provided an opportunity to promote knowledge and understanding of Thai-French relations, as well as to encourage the learning and use of the French language among Thai youth.
