On 8 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a discussion between the Prime Minister and Mr. François Corbin, Special Representative of the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs for economic relations with ASEAN countries and Vice President of MEDEF International (MEDEFi) at the Government House, during the latter’s visit to Thailand.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Thailand and France and exchanged views on opportunities to develop economic collaboration, particularly in the fields of transport, logistics, and energy, which are priority areas for the French side in line with the Thai Government’s policy on infrastructure development and energy transition for a long-term and sustainable growth.

Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to advancing concrete and comprehensive cooperation to strengthen economic and energy security, for the mutual benefit of both countries. They also expressed their shared commitment to elevate Thai-French relations towards a strategic partnership.
