On 20 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand to Islamabad, presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Bantita Pichyakorn Virabutr, Colonel Thanai Permpul, Defense and Military Attaché, and Ms. Kamolwan Sriposil, Minister Counsellor.
On this occasion, the Ambassador held discussions with the President on strengthening bilateral relations, efforts to increase bilateral trade volume to USD 2 billion, and the intention to advance a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to reinforce economic cooperation. They also discussed the development of the Gandhara tourism route to encourage more Thai tourists to visit Pakistan.
