On 15 - 17 July 2026, Ms. Marinee Suwanmoli, Assistant Permanent Secretary, together with officials from the International Security Unit, led a delegation of six Thai university students from Yala Rajabhat University and Prince of Songkla University (Hat Yai and Pattani Campuses) on a study visit program to Singapore under the theme “Understanding Multiculturalism.”

The programme aims to enhance the participants’ understanding and broaden their perspectives on multiculturalism as well as provide insights into Singapore’s policies and approaches to fostering social cohesion and harmonious coexistence in a multicultural society. The delegation met with representatives from the relevant public sector, academic institutions as well as private agencies, namely the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, and the People’s Association (PA). The delegation also visited the Harmony in Diversity Gallery, an exhibition which showcases Singapore’s rich religious diversity as well as highlights its approach to promoting interfaith understanding.

The delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore to exchange views on multiculturalism and discuss the Embassy’s work in fostering bilateral relations with Singapore.
