On September 12, 2026, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, alongside Consul Thammajit Thitimontre, attended the 46th Isan Ball at Vajiradhammapateep Temple in Long Island New York. Organized by the Thai-Isan Association under the leadership of its newly appointed president, Mrs. Kanlaya Phiwngam, the event gathered approximately 100 members from various Thai associations and clubs across the area.

The event included traditional Thai dances and musical performances by local clubs, Thai youth, and volunteer teachers from Wat Vajiradhammapateep showcased of Isan heritage. The maim objective of this year's gathering was philanthropic, with all proceeds dedicated to purchasing oxygen concentrators for a hospital in Nakhon Phanom Province and providing scholarships to students throughout Northeastern part of Thailand.

Beyond preserving cultural customs, the Isan Ball highlights the Thai diaspora's enduring affection for their homeland and their capacity to drive positive change from afar. The event serves as a testament to the community's strength, solidarity, and constructive presence abroad.
