On 22 April 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of the Conference titled “Building Healthier Futures: 25 Years of Thai - Lao Collaboration in Medical and Public Health Capacity Building under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn” at Holiday Inn & Suites, Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic. On this occasion, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) had an audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and participated in the conference.

The conference commemorated the 25th anniversary of the Thai - Lao Cooperation Project on Medical and Public Health Capacity Building under the Royal Initiative, as well as the 70th birthday of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The event was jointly organized by the Office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Projects, Mahidol University, TICA, Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and the Ministry of Health of the Lao People's Democratic Republic during 22 - 23 April 2025. The conference provided a platform for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences in medicine and public health, and to disseminate academic outcomes through seminars and exhibitions.
