Minister of Foreign Affairs joins discussion between Prime Minister and WEF Managing Director

On 20 May 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended a meeting between H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, and Mr. Mirek Dušek, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF), during the latter’s visit at Government House.

Mr. Dušek congratulated the Prime Minister on joining the Young Global Leaders (YGL) for 2025. He took the opportunity to invite the Prime Minister to attend the WEF’s Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, the Swiss Federation, scheduled for January of next year to showcase Thailand’s potential across various areas. It will also be an opportunity to strengthen public-private partnerships. Both sides also discussed potential future collaboration between Thailand and the WEF, with a particular focus on agritech and innovation, digital economy and AI, as well as Thailand’s soft power strategies.
