On 22 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with the United States on the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Manila, the Philippines.
The meeting discussed preparations for the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN - U.S. Dialogue Relations in 2027, ways to advance the ASEAN - U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which is anchored in ASEAN centrality, as well as the alignment between the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) and the United States’ policy on the Indo-Pacific region. Thailand promoted enhanced cooperation in the areas of security and the economy, particularly in combating online scams, advancing the digital economy, and strengthening energy security, as well as the peaceful resolution of the situation in the Middle East and the importance of freedom of navigation.
