Argentina is “Looking at the Pacific” at BICE Bank and MACC’s Joint Seminar

On 15 March 2023, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat and other Ambassadors from the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA), participated in a seminar, titled “Looking at the Pacific”, hosted by Argentine Development Bank (BICE) and MERCOSUR – ASEAN Chamber of Commerce (MACC).

ACBA Ambassadors presented the opportunities for Argentine companies in ASEAN and highlighted ASEAN’s fast economic and trade growth, rising demographic and middle class, digitalization, increasing trade openness, cost advantages on trade and investment, and promising potential for bi-regional cooperation.

MACC executives presented business opportunities in ASEAN and invited interested stakeholders to take part into the trade mission to ASEAN in May 2023. BICE Bank executives recognized the importance of ASEAN in the global economy and look forward to working closely with ACBA and MACC in bridging Argentine companies to move forward into engaging with their ASEAN counterparts. Argentina and ASEAN have common goals, shared similarities, and complementary roles in global value chains to explore business ventures and partnerships.
