On March 15, 2023, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, the Consulate-General of Indonesia, the Consulate-General of the Philippines, and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) co-organized an ASEAN Networking Reception at the Consulate-General of Indonesia in Chicago.

The reception aimed to strengthen the relationship and expand the networking of the ASEAN communities in Chicago and the Midwest region.

On the said occasion, Consul Generals, the representative of MIDA and the representative of Secretary of States of Illinois gave remarks on the development of ASEAN and cooperation with the US. The reception also presented ASEAN cuisine and cultural performances of each country, including the “Khaen” and “Phin” performance of Thailand
