On 23 September 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar together with other eight Asia-Pacific Embassies in the Republic of Senegal, namely China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea, organized the Asian Culinary Festival 2023 at Golf Club Pointe des Almadies, Dakar. More than 300 guests participated in the festival, including high-level representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, diplomatic missions in Dakar, local Senegalese, as well as the international communities in Dakar.

Asian Culinary Festival 2023 was the food festival that brings together the diverse cultures of the Asia-Pacific region under one roof. Furthermore, it was the first event co-organized by all nine embassies in Dakar. The objective of the festival was to jointly promote the culture of Asian countries among the Senegalese and international community while representing the cooperation between all nine countries, which will further enhance their relations with Senegal.

During the event, the Thai Embassy's booth provided participants with a taste of Thai cuisine, including Pad Thai with shrimp, Thai papaya salad (Som Tum), prawn toast (Kanompang Nha Goong), and crispy lotus blossom cookie (Khanom Dok Jok). All Thai dishes were adored by the guests who were also impressed by the experience of making the crispy lotus blossom cookie by themselves.

The Asian Culinary Festival 2023 was organized in conjunction with the golf tournament between Team Asia & the Rest of the World VS Team Africa. More than 54 competitors joined the tournament.
