On 2 August 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata organized a ceremony to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother's Birthday Anniversary on 12 August 2024. The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Siriporn Tantipanyathep, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, and was attended by the Consulate’s officials, along with their spouses, and Consulate’s staff. The ceremony included a prayer service, paying homage to Her Majesty The Queen Mother, a candle-lighting ceremony, and signing the book of well-wishes for Her Majesty at the Nipponzan Myohoji Temple in Kolkata.

On the same day, the Consulate-General also organized a volunteer activity, “We do good by heart,” to celebrate the same occasion by planting  jasmine trees in the garden of the Nipponzan Myohoji Temple.
