Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia call on MITI Minister

On 19 February 2024, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, along with Mr. Worawan Wanwil, Minister-Counsellor (Commercial)/Director of Department of International Trade and Promotion (DITP), Kuala Lumpur, paid a courtesy call on YB Senator Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Malaysia at MITI Tower, Kuala Lumpur.

Ambassador Lada followed up the meetings between Thai - Malaysian Prime Ministers and discussed Thailand - Malaysia cooperation in the areas of trade and investment. Both sides agreed to further enhance the said cooperation at the bilateral level as well as within regional economic frameworks, including ASEAN and APEC, towards the achievement of sustainable and inclusive growth and in support of regional supply chain resilience.

In this regard, Ambassador Lada also expressed Thailand’s readiness to continue supporting Malaysia’s hosting of various fora; namely, the First ABAC (APEC Advisory Business Council) Meeting in 2024 and especially Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship next year.
