On 6 February 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City organized a Presentation Ceremony of the Royal Decoration of the Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand, which has been conferred upon Mr. José Guillermo Romo Romero, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Guadalajara, United Mexican States, in recognition of his important role in promoting relations and cooperation between Thailand and Mexico since his appointment as the Honorary Consul of Thailand in Guadalajara in 2015.

The Presentation Ceremony was presided by H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Ambassador of Thailand, and was attended by officials from the Embassy and Team Thailand in Mexico City, as well as family members of Mr. José Guillermo Romo Romero.

After the ceremony, the Ambassador of Thailand hosted a luncheon in honour of the honorary consul.
