On May 28, 2024, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong met with Mr. Eric Adams, Mayor of New York City, at a breakfast reception co-organized by the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs and the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York at Gracie Mansion. Mayor Adams took this opportunity to express his appreciation for the prominent roles of the Consuls General in supporting communities of different races in New York, thus contributing to the strengthening of New York City as one of the most diverse cities in the world.
