On 9 October 2022, Mr. Fabio Chinda, Consul General in New York, and Mrs. Maneevarong Chinda, his spouse, along with the Consulate's officials, attended the candlelight vigil for the victims of the tragic incidents in Nong Bua Lamphu Province in Thailand.
The event was organized by the Thai community at Little Thailand Way in New York City. Consul General joined representatives of the Thai community in expressing messages of condolences and sympathy in memory of the deceased to the bereaved families and those affected by the incidents. Buddhist monks from Buddha Thai Thavorn Varanam Temple were also present to perform chanting rituals for the deceased, and preaching on the contemplation of death to the attendees. At the end, everyone was welcomed to lay flowers and light candles with heartfelt condolences.
The Royal Thai Consulate General in New York, together with Team Thailand agencies and the Thai community in New York City, wish to send our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected during this difficult time.
