On 22 March 2023, Ambassador Witchu Vejjajiva visited the Korean Studies Institute in Andong City, Gyeongsangbuk Province, which oversees research, collection, and preservation of Korean and Confucian historical heritages. On this occasion, Ambassador received a warm welcome from Dr. Chong Jong-sup, President of the Korean Studies Institute, and exchanged views with the President on the history and influence of Confucianism to the economic and social development in South Korea, followed by a tour of historical artifacts displayed in the Institute’s museum which have been registered as UNESCO Memory of the World heritages.
