On 26 April 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to the ROK visited the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Seoul Office, and held discussions with Ms. Kritsana Saeheng, Director of BOI Seoul, on ways to further increase the ROK’s investment in Thailand, building on last year’s momentum which saw the ROK as Thailand’s 6th largest FDI source. High-potential industries were identified, such as EV, smart electronics, digital, biotech, defense industries and creative industries - in line with BOI’s priority areas for the ROK. Both sides also discussed the progress of the ROK’s current investment projects in Thailand, emphasizing the importance of the ROK as one of the Thai government’s 10 targeted countries for attracting further investment.
