On 8 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, met with H.E. Mr. Kim Jae-shin, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC) to discuss possible pathways to elevate cultural and economic exchanges between ASEAN Member States (AMS) on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue Relation.

Ambassador supported for the AKC’s upcoming International Conference on ASEAN-Korean Partnership, due to be organised in November 2024, and commended the AKC for its support for Thai students through this year’s ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop. Both sides also discussed on ways to connect Thai startups with accelerators in the ROK through the AKC’s ASEAN-Korea Startup Innovation Week project.
