On 2 November 2022, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK welcomed and had a discussion with H.E. Prof. Anek Laothamatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand (MHESI), and a delegation from MHESI, during their visit to the Republic of Korea from 2 – 4 November 2022. On this occasion, the Ambassador joined Minister Anek in a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Lee Jong-ho, Minister of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea, at Lotte Hotel Seoul. Both sides agreed to pursue and deepen cooperation in 5 main areas, which are research on space technology, development of Thailand’s space port, biotechnology/telemedicine, raising awareness/knowledge on nuclear technology, and research to mitigate climate change.
