On 16 August 2022, His Excellency Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S. presided over the Presentation Ceremony of the Royal Decoration of the Commander (Third Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant to Colonel Albert H. Fitts, Former United states Air Force Attaché to Thailand, at the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C. On this occasion, Mrs. Nina Fitts, his spouse, and Ms. Campie Ellis, his sister-in-law, as well as Defense and Military Attaché and spouse, Deputy Naval Attaché and spouse, and Air Attaché and Assistant Defense Attaché and spouse, also attended to witness the event.

While serving in the above position, Colonel Fitts contributed greatly to the strengthening of the long-standing bonds of friendship and good relations between the U.S. Armed Forces and the Royal Thai Armed Forces, which reflect a great credit not only upon himself but also upon the U.S. Armed Forces.

After the ceremony, Colonel Fitts and his spouse also signed the Royal Book of Congratulations to celebrate with the Thai people the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s 90th Birthday Anniversary at the Embassy, before Ambassador Srisodapol hosted a congratulatory luncheon in honor of Colonel Fitts and his family.
