During 29 November - 2 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will pay a working visit to the Republic of India to promote Thailand - India bilateral relations and discuss other issues that benefit people of both countries, especially cooperation against transnational crimes, including online scams.

During the visit, the Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet with the Minister of External Affairs of India and the National Security Advisor of India, to further advance and strengthen cooperation after the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership during the visit of the Prime Minister of India in April 2025. He will also invite India to attend the international conference on global partnerships to combat online scams, which Thailand will host during 17 - 18 December 2025 in Bangkok.

In addition, the Foreign Minister will have a discussion with Indian academia from various think-tanks to exchange views on current geopolitical challenges, complementary Thai and Indian foreign policies, cooperation on common threats,Thailand’s significance to India as a country with a leading role in ASEAN, as well as India’s importance to Thailand as a global major player with the world’s highest economic growth rate.

Thailand and India have long been close historically, culturally and religiously, which will commemorate 80 years of diplomatic relations in 2027. In 2024, India was Thailand’s 11th trading partner and the first in South Asia with trade value of 17.5 billion USD, which increased 8.8 per cent from 2023. India is also one of Thailand’s most important tourist markets.
