On 5 November 2025, Ms. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand.

The Permanent Secretary received an update on recent political developments in Nepal and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including the possibility of convening the 6th Thailand - Nepal Joint Commission (JC) in the future. They also exchanged views on possible collaboration on the prevention and suppression of cybercrime, particularly online scams. The Nepali side expressed interest in sharing intelligence with Thailand to advance joint efforts in combating transnational cybercrime.

The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment in promoting multilateral efforts to address cybercrime, citing that Thailand plans to host an international conference to discuss the issue and identify concrete measures in partnership with the international community.
