On 24 December 2025, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Wilhelm Maximilian Donko, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Thailand, on the occasion of his completion of tenure.

The Permanent Secretary expressed her appreciation to the Ambassador for his role and dedication in promoting the close and friendly relations between Thailand and Austria throughout his tenure, particularly his support in organising a photo exhibition on the occasion of the 155th Anniversary of the establishment the diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2024. Both sides exchanged views on ways to further promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including in the areas of trade and investment, green technology, vocational education, high-quality manufacturing and cooperation in multilateral fora. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for Thailand and his pleasure in strengthening Thailand - Austria relations.
