On 18 December 2025, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Margulan Baimukhan, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Thailand, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.

Both sides outlined opportunities to further enhance bilateral cooperation across various areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade, investment, connectivity, academia, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. They also agreed to hold consultations between senior-level representatives of both Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the near future.

The Permanent Secretary expressed Thailand’s readiness to work closely with the Republic of Kazakhstan in multilateral fora, such as the United Nations (UN) and the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), in support of a rules-based international order.
