Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs had a virtual discussion with Deputy Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia. Both sides exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar, the 1st QUAD Summit, and cooperation between Thailand, ASEAN and Australia to promote regional security, stability and sustainable development.

On 19 March 2021, H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a virtual discussion with Mr. Justin Hayhurst, Deputy Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia (as Co-Chair of ASEAN-Australia Forum).

Both sides exchanged views on ASEAN-Australia cooperation, the situation in Myanmar and the 1st QUAD Summit held on 12 March 2021. They also discussed how to enhance cooperation between Thailand, ASEAN and Australia with a view to promoting regional security, stability and sustainable development.
