On 27 October 2026, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with Mr. Tino Chrupalla, Member of the German Bundestag and Co-Chair of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) Party, on the occasion of his visit to Thailand during 26-28 October 2026.

Both sides discussed bilateral relations between Thailand and Germany, as well as Thailand’s relations with the EU. On this occasion, Thailand reaffirmed its commitment to concluding the Thailand-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations and pursuing its accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Both sides also exchanged views on current geopolitical developments, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the situation in the Middle East, and the Thailand-Cambodia border situation, as well as their respective relations with and perspectives on major powers.
