On 13 June 2024, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Jonathan Dale Kings, Ambassador of New Zealand to Thailand, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to promote bilateral relations, including the exchanges of high-level visits, the 13th Thailand-New Zealand Senior Officials’ Talks (SOTs), cooperation in agricultural technology, energy, education, tourism, as well as cooperation under the multilateral frameworks, especially under the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) and the United Nations (UN). They also discussed on developing a comprehensive action plan towards Strategic Partnership by 2026 and exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar.
