On 26 November 2025, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs co-chaired the 1st Thailand - Republic of Korea (ROK) Strategic Dialogue with H.E. Mr. Park Yoonjoo, First Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the ROK, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the ROK in Seoul, to discuss ways to enhance the Thailand - ROK Strategic Partnership, including to arrange for exchanges of high level visits next year.

On security, they discussed the deepening of cooperation on defence industry and the strengthening of joint efforts to combat online scams more effectively and systematically.

On economic cooperation, both sides intend to increase bilateral trade volume referencing the 30 billion USD target set earlier, through the conclusion of the Thailand-ROK Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The Thai side also reaffirmed continued support to facilitate increased investment from Korea in Thailand, especially in areas of the ROK’s expertise such as clean energy and smart cities. On labour, culture, education, and tourism, both sides agreed to jointly create more employment opportunities for Thai workers in ROK, to collaborate in the content industry by drawing from the ROK’s success, and to foster development of Thai workforce in STEM industries (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

On regional issues, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the ASEAN frameworks, in Thailand’s capacity as current ASEAN-ROK Country Coordinator (2024 - 2027). They also exchanged views on geopolitical developments, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, as well as other developments in the region.
