On 26 November 2025, H.E. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Russian - Thai Investment Forum 2025, held at the Pullman Phuket Karon Beach Resort.

The Vice Minister delivered a keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony, highlighting the long-standing relationship and cooperation between Thailand and the Russian Federation spanning more than 128 years, as well as the potential to further strengthen bilateral economic collaboration in various areas, including agriculture, digital development, and tourism. He also reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to serve as a co-chair of the 9th Session of the Thai - Russian Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC), which is the most important bilateral mechanism for setting the direction and identifying potential sectors to advance cooperation between the two countries.

The Forum was co-organized by the Russian - Thai Business Council (RTBC), the Thai - Russian Business Council under the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), together with partner agencies from both countries, to provide a platform for dialogue and business matching between representatives from the public and private sectors in various fields such as construction, real estate development, hospitality, restaurants and catering (HoReCa), advertising and media, as well as Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), with a view to identifying and expanding opportunities for bilateral trade and investment.

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Digital Council of Thailand and the Russian - Thai Business Council was signed at the event, demonstrating the joint commitment to digital transformation and technological exchange between the two countries.
