On 27 April 2023, the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA) organized a special presentation on “Thailand - Argentina Bilateral Relations and their Opportunities” addressed by Mr. Claudio Javier Rozencwaig, Undersecretary for Foreign Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina, during his visit to co-chair the 5th session of the Thailand-Argentina Political Consultations. On this occasion, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Thai Co-chair, delivered her welcome remarks in honor of the speaker, and the event was well-attended by MFA officials as well as representatives from the Thai academia and private sector.

During his presentation, Mr. Claudio Javier Rozencwaig highlighted Argentina’s foreign policy priorities and the Republic’s roles in the international fora in, for instance, climate action, clean energy, science, technology, and innovation, as well as the promotion of human rights and women rights. Moreover, Undersecretary also highlighted the developments of Thailand - Argentina relations in various aspects, including cooperation in trade, cultural exchange, peaceful usage of nuclear energy, and space technology. The presentation then concluded with a Q&A session on the future of the bilateral cooperation.

This special presentation served as a prelude to the upcoming diplomatic training cooperation between the DVIFA and the National Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina. The concerned Memorandum of Understandings have already been agreed upon, and the signing ceremony will take place in due course.
