On 12 April 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys assigned Minister Counsellor Pittara Navarat and Mr. Artsith Katawetawaraks, Counsellor to participate in a Songkran Celebration at Wat Buddhasothorn Uppsala. The event was organised by Wat Buddhasothorn Uppsala and the Thai Community in Uppsala. Besides a religious ceremony by offering food to monks, the event also included Thai performances and pour water onto the monks’ and the elderly’s hands to pay respect and ask for their blessings.
