On 28 April 2025, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys and Team Thailand in Stockholm, comprising the Office of the Defense Attaché, the Thailand Board of Investment, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy visited Midsummer AB. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Eric Jaremalm (CEO), Mr. Robert Sjöström (Chairman), Mr. Lars Svensson (Head of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development – ASEAN), as well as representatives from SAAB AB and the Swedish Energy Agency.

During the visit, company representatives provided a briefing on Midsummer’s background and future investment directions. Founded in 2004, Midsummer develops, manufactures, and sells advanced thin-film and flexible solar panels. The company is recognized as the largest producer of thin-film solar cells in Europe. These products are currently in high demand in the global market and align with the transition towards clean energy and green transformation.

Midsummer expressed its readiness to promote cooperation with Thailand and has plans to invest in establishing a manufacturing facility in Thailand. After the presentation and Q&A session, the company representatives gave the Ambassador and delegation a tour of the company’s factory and production line.
