On 9 October 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, chaired the Sub-Committee Meeting on the Coordination of International Human Rights Obligations Implementation at the Ministry of Justice, with Ms. Sunee Srisangatrakullert, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and Ms. Nareeluc Pairchaiyapoom, Director of International Human Rights Division, on behalf of the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, as Vice Chairs.

The meeting took note of the progress on the implementation of obligations under international human rights instruments to which Thailand is a party, as well as the process of preparing Thailand’s national report under the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism and preparation for the oral presentation of its 4th UPR National Report at the 53rd Session of the UPR Working Group on 9 November 2026 in Geneva. The Sub-Committee also approved the workplan on the implementation of obligations under core international human rights instruments and the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism for the 2027 fiscal year.
