  1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been monitoring developments in the situation in the Middle East, particularly as it impacts assistance extended to Thai nationals in the affected areas. The following is an update on the latest progress in these efforts.

  2. In Israel, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv has coordinated and facilitated - in close collaboration with the Office of Labour Affairs and other Thai embassies in the region - the repatriation of 22 Thai workers in the construction industry today. The group departed Israel by land on 22 June and is scheduled to arrive in Thailand on 23 June at 19:20 hrs. The Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv is currently also assisting a group of 12 Thai nationals, who have requested to depart Israel, to transit through a neighboring country. Of these, 9 will depart Israel by land on 25 June, while the other 3 will depart on 3 July.

  3. In addition, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Office of Labour Affairs are currently in discussions with Thai recruitment companies in the construction sector regarding the possibility of relocating approximately 3,000 Thai construction workers in Israel to neighboring countries temporarily to await further positive developments in the situation or to return to Thailand.

  4. In Iran, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tehran has successfully facilitated the safe departure of the first group of 3 Thai nationals, who requested to return to Thailand, from Iran to a neighboring country by land on 21 June. The Embassy is now assisting an additional 73 Thai nationals from various provinces across Iran to depart by land and return to Thailand, through neighboring countries.

  5. Given the significantly heightened risks in Tehran, the Royal Thai Embassy has established a temporary operations center, as well as a temporary shelter for Thai nationals, at the Elite World Van Hotel in Van, a Turkish border town near Iran. The address is Bahçıvan, Kazım Karabekir Blv. No: 67, 65030 Merkez/Van. Thai nationals in Iran can contact the Embassy through the 24-hour emergency lines: +98 912 159 8699 and +98 912 500 7933.

  6. As the situation in both Israel and Iran remain highly volatile and have rapidly intensified, Thai nationals residing in these countries are strongly advised to depart as soon as possible. The respective Royal Thai Embassies are available at all times for any assistance and information. As tensions in the affected areas continue to intensify, Thai nationals in all countries across the Middle East are encouraged to closely monitor updates and announcements from the Royal Thai Embassies. The “Thai Consular” application is available for download, providing an additional channel to receive updates and emergency assistance from the respective Thai embassies. All Thais are also strongly advised to avoid traveling to these areas unless absolutely necessary.
