On 20 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Special Envoy of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the 9th Global Alliance for the Two-State Solution Meeting in Brussels, Belgium. The initiative, established in 2024, serves as a cooperative framework aimed at advancing efforts to resolve the Israel - Palestine conflict on the basis of the two-State solution.

The Special Envoy reaffirmed Thailand’s support for resolving the Israel - Palestine conflict based on the two-State solution. Thailand expressed concern over delays in the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip as well as any unilateral measures which may have implications on prospects for achieving the two-State solution. Thailand also conveyed its readiness to extend technical support to help strengthen Palestinian capacity building in developing state institutions and advancing the state-building process.

The meeting was aimed to discuss ways to support the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, as well as to promote implementation of the 20-point Gaza Peace Plan proposed by the U.S. President, including to advance the work plan of the Board of Peace in this regard. Participants were also briefed on progress in the implementation of the plan and expressed concerns over the delay of humanitarian assistance for Gaza.
