On 9 July 2025, Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador attached to the Ministry, together with Mr. Natthaphon Sapsinsoonthon, Head of the International Security Unit, welcomed a group of 28 Thai students participating in the 2nd “Upskill: Broadening Horizons and Developing Professional Skills” Program at the Ministry. The program was organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador Pongprach provided the students with a briefing on the overall state of Thailand–Saudi Arabia relations and the Ministry’s role in supporting Thai students studying abroad. The session also featured an open exchange of views during the Q&A session on Thailand’s foreign policy within the current global context.

The “Upskill: Broadening Horizons and Developing Professional Skills” Program this year was held between 6 - 12 July 2025. The Program organized visits to have discussions with representatives from key government agencies and the private sector, such as the Office of the Sheikhul Islam, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, “Sanjaithai Sujaitai” Youth Association, and CPF (Thailand) Public Company Limited. The program also included training sessions on the Halal industry and Islamic-compliant investment, as well as public speaking and personality development workshops for participating students.
