On 22 October 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as the Representative of His Majesty the King, presided over the Princess Srinagarindra Award 2025 at the Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall, the Royal Palace. Her Royal Highness also presided over the royal tea party given in honour of the laureates at the Borom Ratchasathit Mahoran Banquet Hall after the Award Ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Tongrudee Markboon, representative of the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Nikorndej Balankura, Director-General of the Department of Information.

This year, the Princess Srinagarindra Award 2025 was presented to Mrs. Zhang Liyan from the People’s Republic of China as the recipient of the Princess Srinagarindra Award 2025. She was recognized for her outstanding contributions in the fields of nursing and midwifery, which have garnered both national and international acclaims. Mrs. Zhang Liyan is a leader in the nursing profession, advancing and improving the quality of nursing services, nursing research, and health policy responses. In particular, she has contributed to the development of disaster nursing, as well as in supporting and rehabilitating disaster victims, which exemplifies important humanitarian work and contributes to the fostering of relations on an international scale.

The Director-General of the Department of Information also joined an interview with the Secretary-General of the Foundation and the International Award Committee to congratulate the award recipient.
