On 4 August 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed Ms. Cedelizia Faria dos Santos, Member of Parliament and Chair of Commission C (Public Finance, Economy, and Anti-Corruption), together with a delegation of Members of Parliament from Timor-Leste, on the occasion of their study visit to Thailand focusing on economics, public finance and anti-corruption. The visit was conducted under the South-South and Triangular Cooperation Programme between TICA and the International Trade Centre (ITC).

Triangular cooperation between TICA and ITC in strengthening the capacity of the Timor-Leste Parliament reflects Thailand’s commitment to supporting Timor-Leste’s smooth accession to ASEAN membership, as well as supporting Timor-Leste’s readiness to effectively serve as ASEAN Chair and host of the ASEAN Summit in 2029.
